Terms of Service & Refund Policy

By creating an account, using the app, or subscribing to Nesto Autism Care ("the app"), you agree to these terms.
Operator: The app is operated by the developer/entity that publishes Nesto Autism Care on the
Google Play Store. For support or legal inquiries, use the in-app Support option or the contact details on the app's
store listing.
1. Use of the app
The app is a developmental support and educational tool only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Screening results are not a diagnosis. The Health Journal is a personal record-keeping aid only — it is not a clinical records system, an electronic health record (EHR), or a substitute for records maintained by your healthcare provider. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
2. Account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. Do not share your account. You must provide accurate
information when registering.
3. Subscription
- Premium features are available by subscription. Subscription is billed through the Google Play Store (or other
platform where you downloaded the app).
- Price, billing interval (for example, monthly or yearly), and currency are shown in the app and in the store at
the time of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew until you cancel. You can cancel anytime via your device's subscription
settings (for example, Google Play Store > Subscriptions).
- Subscription fees already paid are generally non-refundable. Cancelling stops future charges only, except where
refunds are required by applicable law or made available through the billing platform's policy.
Refund policy: Subscriptions are generally non-refundable after billing. You may cancel at any time
to stop future billing. No partial refunds are provided for unused periods, except where required by applicable law
or made available under the billing platform's policy.
4. AI Support and fair use
AI Support is offered on a fair use basis and is intended for normal personal use within the app. It is not
guaranteed to be unlimited. To maintain quality, speed, safety, and availability for all users, we may apply
reasonable usage limits, priority rules, temporary slowdowns, or other service protections when needed, especially
in cases of unusually high, automated, abusive, or excessive usage.
Access to AI Support, response speed, and service availability may vary by plan, technical conditions, and
operational requirements. We may modify, pause, restrict, or discontinue AI Support features at any time to protect
the service, users, or the app.
5. Community rules and enforcement
If you use community features, support spaces, or any interactive area of the app, you must not post, share, or
promote misleading information, false claims, unsafe guidance, medical advice presented as fact, abusive content,
harassment, hate, threats, spam, illegal content, or any offensive or harmful activity.
If such activity is reported, detected by our systems, or reasonably determined by us or an admin, we may remove
content, restrict visibility, suspend community access, block or terminate your account, or take any other
moderation action we consider appropriate to protect users and the app.
If your access is restricted, suspended, or terminated because of misuse, abuse, policy violations, misleading
medical-style advice, harmful conduct, or other prohibited activity, you will not be entitled to any refund,
credit, or compensation for any subscription period already paid, except where required by applicable law.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any decisions you make based on the app's content or
recommendations. The app is provided "as is". We do not guarantee specific outcomes.
7. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them. For significant changes, we may
notify you in the app.
8. Health Journal
The Health Journal feature lets you keep personal notes about your child's health, doctor visits, growth, observations, and medical documents for your own reference. By using this feature, you agree to the following:
- Personal record only. Health Journal records are personal notes entered by you. They are not official medical records, clinical documents, prescriptions, or a substitute for records held by your doctor, hospital, or specialist. Keep all original documents safe — do not rely on the app as your only copy.
- Not reviewed by us. We do not read, verify, act upon, or take any clinical responsibility for anything you enter in the Health Journal.
- File uploads (premium). If you upload document files, the following rules apply:
- Supported file types: PDF, JPG, and PNG only.
- Maximum file size: 3 MB per file.
- Files are stored in Firebase Storage (Google LLC) under your authenticated account. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- When you delete a document record or your profile, the associated file is also permanently deleted from storage.
- Appointment reminders (premium). If you enter a next appointment date, a local device notification may be scheduled one day before that date. This requires notification permission on your device. You can disable notifications at any time in device settings.
- Growth disclaimer. Growth measurements in the app are for personal tracking only. They are not a medical assessment. Consult your doctor for a formal growth evaluation.
- Observation journal. The observation journal helps you notice patterns in your child's daily experience. It is an educational aid only. Pattern suggestions shown in the app are computed from your own entries and are not clinical advice or a behavioural diagnosis.
- PDF Health Summary (premium). The generated PDF is a summary of data you entered. It is not a clinical report and should not be used as a substitute for records prepared by a qualified healthcare professional.
9. Specialist Contributions & Directory Liability
- Educational Purpose Only: Nesto is operated by an individual as an educational and peer support tool. It is not in the medical category, is not a licensed clinic, and does not provide clinical directory placement validation.
- No Professional Endorsement: The verification badge (tick icon) and therapist titles (e.g. "Speech Therapist") display only that the administrator performed a basic administrative check on credentials self-submitted by the therapist. It is not a certification of competence, professional endorsement, or medical recommendation.
- Zero Liability for Contributions: Nesto and its developers are not responsible or liable for any comments, posts, or responses shared by therapists in the community space or chat support. All such content is informational and educational only.
- Zero Liability for Offline Contact: If you contact or consult any specialist using the address, phone number, or clinic details displayed on their profile page, you do so entirely at your own discretion and risk. Nesto holds no liability for any subsequent calls, appointments, offline therapy sessions, medical decisions, or any other interaction between you and the therapist.
- Specialist Agreement: Specialists registering with the app agree that their advice is educational only, that they will not diagnose or prescribe medicine via the app, and that they will hold Nesto and its developer harmless from any claims or disputes arising out of their use of the app or offline parent contact.
